Zyr is fresh into his third cycle of life—young, single, and ready to mingle in order to incorporate the genetic diversity of other species into his own. All he really wants to do is settle into life with his new crew, learn as much as he possibly can, and maybe make a few hybrid offspring in the process.

But when a ship's captain and over half of its crew are human, nothing is ever so simple.

As his fascination with humanity ultimately entangles him in their lives and struggles, Zyr begins to change in ways he didn't exactly plan. Without meaning to, he quickly becomes a pivotal player in the galactic game of control over the fate of the human species. And when the time comes to choose sides, Zyr must make the impossible decision between loyalty to his new-found family or his old…at the risk of defying the very eldritch stars themselves.

This is an HFY (humanity, f*ck yeah!) story set in a nobledark universe with a powerful non-human protagonist and heavy elements of slice-of-life, though it does have an overarching plot.
