Directly following the events of Syche: The Dark Element, Joshua and Kael are together and attempting to recuperate after their failure to stop the Taerose Empire, but time is a luxury they just don't have.

Declared criminals by the world, their closest benefactor in prison and scheduled to be executed, and their family scattered across Seriah, Joshua and Kael set out on separate missions, both to find a way to kill their father Mellach and to prevent the collapse of the only country in the world that can resist him.

But the threats this time aren't only external. Joshua is fighting against his own mind as Kael's purpose is thrown into question, with two branching paths before him.
