Jessie was just your normal everyday nihilistic antisocial teenage anime nerd with a bright future ahead of her. But then she died.

Long before that, she figured something out. An explanation. One that technically works if you ignore all biological, technological, and architectural limitations, not to mention common sense. But she never learned about those.

And they aren't a concern for Heaven. Or The System it runs on. Whenever a soul accepts its invitation recognizing a heroic death, the self-sustaining Dyson Sphere absorbs and adapts their memories into itself. If new information is encountered, it might add or modify something about The System. Naturally, the soul that inspired such a change is granted priority access to the result.

Which is how Jessie spawns into Heaven as an Anime Swordsman. Has she ever actually held a sword before? No. Is she willing to take instruction? Hell no. Is that going to stop her? F*ck no. Instead, she'll use it as a catalyst in her pursuit of ultimate power in paradise.

And to do what so many have tried before. Are still trying today. What only eight humans have ever managed. To conquer Heaven and bring back the one she died to save. Jessie just has to get past the billions of billions of other Heroes who all want the same for themselves.

Eight slots for the ultimate prize are available every four years. With thousands of times more newly immortal Heroes of all races arriving by the second, Jessie is about to teach them all a very important lesson about Death Battles.
