What if Talent was Customizable?

What if Power was Inevitable?

What if Heaven was a Video Game?

Without Further Ado, Brandon Salazar, The Second Cousin Twice Removed of American LitRPG brings you... A progress bar!

Trilogy Published: 5.0%

Book 1: Time to Breathe - 16.2%

Part 1: The Summoner - 73.5%

Part 2: The Swordsman

Part 3: The Ranger

Part 4: The Tournament

Book 2: Space to Grow

Part 1: The Fighter

Part 2: The Tank

Part 3: The Main Character

Part 4: The Tournament

Book 3: Matter to Settle

Part 1: The Magical Girl

Part 2: The Builder

Part 3: The Controller

Part 4: The Tournament

At the highest level, this is an epic slice-of-life, action-adventure, scifi-fantasy, comedy-drama, satirical emotional rollercoaster of a trilogy of doorstop books centered around a paradise in the form of a Dyson Sphere where some people go when they die.

To be as simplistic (to the point of being wrong) as possible, Heaven kind of absorbs the knowledge and memories of any soul that accepts its invitation. If new information is encountered, it might add or modify one of many Skills, Items, Equipment, Beds, and almost literally any other way it can integrate that information.

So for example, take the DC Subclass in the Superhuman Specialty of the Tank Archetype within the Defense Lane, sourced from a Core common to all CLASSes. If you level enough, that would give you access to a set of Skills and bonuses and things that with the right build, would turn you into something a whole lot like Superman.

With that in mind, the series is primarily about a foul-mouthed girl with a lot of issues and also anime sword powers. She eventually joins a guild made up of other protagonists with other sorts of anime powers. And they try to beat the game and stuff. Oh, and Heaven is a game and stuff.

So yeah, that's basically it.

That's not enough, is it?

Alright, so here's the deal. I have a history of not knowing what is or isn't a spoiler. So I'd rather be too vague than too specific. I'm honestly not even comfortable saying this much. But as to the above, I do want to clarify some things. Each book focuses on three of the nine protagonists of Anime Is Overpowered. Each part that isn't a tournament, builds towards that tournament alongside a series of flashbacks pertaining to the associated protagonist. With special emphasis on things relating to the MC where applicable.

Because other than the prologue, tournaments are where the Future chapters live. And the Future chapters are all of rounds in that tournament. As to those, let me make one thing clear.

I. Love. Tournaments. They're my favorite. So I've spent the last four years constructing the three biggest, baddest tournaments I could. And everything that comes before them, of course.

And if I'm doing what I think I do best, and compulsively, left, then the ride doesn't take any expected turns.

So you should sort of, prepare yourself for that. Um, sorta outa time, right now, but, if you ever have a topic you want us to cover, uh, please let us know about it. Thanks for your dedication and support and we'll see ya in the next one.
