Icarus Awakens is a LitRPG adventure combining elements of progression fantasy, a truckless isekai setup, slow burn, and the power of friendship to deliver a roughly 300,000 word first act of a fantasy series. Expect a protagonist who improves at his own pace while the world is developed around him, balancing his life with monster hunting. Perspectives of other characters are important in this story, though Daniel's predominates. Those seeking a healthy mix of action and drama taking place within a unique setting and system will find this a rewarding read. I'm willing to take this series as far as it will go, and have plenty of story to tell.

I write in third-person with occasional perspective shifts or small character asides. All future chapters will be at least 2000 words, with the average falling in the 2500-5000 range. Chapters will be consistently released daily on weekdays at 1700 EST as my backlog stretches tens of chapters. This is the result of hobby writing that I am now posting to get the story out there. I welcome any comments, questions, and constructive criticism. I have given the entire first book at least one pass and believe it is ready, but as this tale will show, nobody is perfect. So long as there is both life and time, there is always an opportunity to improve.
