The most cold-blooded monarch in the history of the kingdom doesn't ask.
He orders.
And what he wants, he gets.
What does he want? All sorcerer bloodlines exterminated. Which is kind of a problem for Gray, because the king's right-hand man, Major Killian (the most fearsome officer in the king's army), is certain Gray's the long-lost son of a notorious sorcerer.
Gray will do anything to get free.
Basically a bunch of fantasy cliches, profanities, and a very slow-burn father/son dynamic.
This gets dark at times with adult content and violence, watch the beginning of the chapters for trigger warnings. I clicked all the content warnings, just to be safe.
