The setting:

All extra-solar activities are coordinated by the United Earths Space Marine Corps and their different branches.

United Earth Bureau of Extraterrestrial Reconnaissance (UEBER)

United Earth Space Force (UESF)

Tiny spoiler: Our MCs will eventually enter SELMA, which is basically the space equivalent of the American FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency or the German THW, the Technisches Hilfswerk.
