Alex suddenly found himself on the scorching sands of a gladiator arena with enemies hell-bent on killing him. Bewildered and afraid, he picked up the closest weapon he could find, which just so happened to be a shield.

The new world he was summoned to is vastly different from Earth. Magic exists. Runes grant people incredible powers and abilities. Nearly everyone has a level and a class. There are enchanted weapons and armor, floating dungeons, violent invasions, magical beasts, and powerful gods.

He'll have to master his new weapons and Runic Powers if he wants to survive long enough to find a way back home. But first, he has to escape the gladiator arena he's now being forced to fight in. He won't let the fact that he's just a tank class stop him, though.
