Grimfel is a dark grim fantasy about a lad named Oscar Grimfel and his grueling journey through the age of great desolation. Son of the goddess of death, everyone wants him dead. Though things had been relatively peaceful until the black smoke appeared. It ravaged his small village, bringing sickness and death to the people. Wild ravenous beasts slaughtered those that remained. Forced to escape in the night with his sister and father, Oscar is sent on a perilous path.

His strong sense of morality is shattered when he experiences the venomous side of human nature. In times of famine and tragedy, it does not instill compassion and kindness in those around him. And many times people often trample over the weak and suffering to save themselves.

Upon a bitter dark world with a bleak future, Oscar finds great desire to discover what resides within him. Desperate to find out his heritage and connection to his mother's power, the goddess of death, he sets on a path of self-discovery. Though one he likely wished to never set upon to begin with.

Whilst the land is torn asunder by the plague, Oscar is caught up in a web of secrets and lies. Even daring to go up against powerful witches and formidable gods. Of all which will lead him to the truth.
