Runechiku was an orphan living in the war-damaged city of Tetford. Having made enemies with a local middling noble, he is murdered in the street in the middle of the night and his corpse left where it fell. Dro was a faceless slave-soldier amongst hundreds of thousands of others, forced to fight in the endless military campaigns of the Grand Republic against the Empire. However, in his final battle, Dro and thousands of others, are struck down by magic while charging up a heavily fortified hilltop. Dro awakens in the body of the recently deceased Runechiku and discovers he is in a world of cultivation. He soon learns he is one of numerous illegitimate children belonging to a powerful noble who sends for him as well as others to shore up his lack of heirs for the next generation. Follow Dro as he gains power and rises within the realms of his new cultivation universe.
