It is 3136, and immortality has become reality. In the city of Lyra, a mysterious serum called the Gift has been developed. It grants immunity to all diseases and ailments, including aging itself. However, Lyra's ruler, known as the Giver, only allows for the Gift to be given to certain people. Those she chooses bear little in common; her selections are seemingly random. In this city, a woman named Bella has been chosen, and the love of her life Violet has not.
