The portal appeared at the Arrakis System, the portal was far away from the Arrakis system that the Chancellor of the United Nations of Sol to keep it secret from the public and the Galactic Federation.

The Chancellor thought that this was another invasion of the Prethari Swarm that he station the UNS fleet to the Portal. There was no signs of any alien lifeform went out in the portal. He send an expedition to the portal. The Expeditionary Forces Detected a star system and a habitable planet inside the portal.

He also assigned Erwin to command the expeditionary forces as they investigate inside the portal. Erwin had no choice and accept the order from the Chancellor and landed with his troops at the Fort Cerberus. Later at his quarters he saw a strange rune and suddenly teleported himself at the strange area.
