Chrysa emerged from the ocean in a body she did not know, before a city under siege by darkness. Novais, a shining beacon among humanity, had drawn the eye of Queen Malys, a being intent on consuming all hope and light in the universe. Humankind's only defense lies in the hands of five brave souls empowered by otherworldly familiars, heroines known by the people of Novais as magical girls.

And Chrysa soon realizes she is one of their enemies: a servant of Queen Malys tasked with draining humans of their light, corrupting them into monsters, and ultimately seizing both the magical girls' familiars and their very souls.

Without the energy gathered from humans, Malys and her servants will perish. Chrysa must come to accept that her own survival hinges on embracing her role as the villain.
