It's never easy being chronically ill. Life is a constant stream of doctors trying to say nice words while having differing opinions and ultimately deciding that the knife is the best course of action. Life is also extra not easy when anaesthesia just won't work the way it's supposed to.
So they tried a new one on Jordan, and while her body conked out, her brain didn't. She found herself inside her own thoughts, with pitch blackness around her and all the time in the world to be as creative as she'd always wanted before life got in the way. She also had someone to keep her company, right up until they left.
Now awake and back in her body, Jordan has to face astronomical odds and the thinnest of trails in her pursuit of answers. The implications of two minds crossing over would be stupefying, and she's Patient Zero. It's on her to find the truth, or lose her mind trying.
