The Tunguska Event of 1908 ushered in the age of superhumans.

Over the years, these superhumans, both heroes and villains, became figures on the nightly news. Some tried to help humanity. Some tried to harm them. In the United States, the Superhuman Control Initiative was begun to control and organize superhumans, drafting them into service during World War II. After the war, the SCI was transformed into an organization like the National Guard.

However, not all superhumans were happy with the setup of the SCI, and supervillains still exist. And sometimes, in this new age of heroes and villains, there are stories that don't get told to the masses. Stories like this one.
