Nyx's life is shattered when a werewolf attacks on a full moon. Nyx is thrust into the world of darkness and beasts. While struggling to figure out his place as a newborn monster, he must learn to adapt to a grimdark world where all is not as it seems.

The story is told from the perspective of an immortal whose unstable musings belie the true nature of an ancient's thoughts.
