13 years ago, a great catastrophe cost the world many of its superheroes. With the decimation fo the super population came the dismantling of the United Hero Squadron, an organization of heroes devoted to countering global threats. Now, something new has arisen. Monsters have begun appearing worldwide, the world is once again plunging into fear. After 17 year old Melanie Tran, who has the power to create and destroy matter, fights one of these monsters in her first outing as a superhero, she is recruited by a former UHS member to form a new super team to face this threat. With a brooding ghost detective, a man who can change the rules of logic, and a woman with the power to command people and reality with words, Mel will embark on the adventure of a lifetime- and possibly discover the hidden origins of her mysterious powers.
