As history tells it, the greedy dragons could no longer reproduce with each other, and they grew weak as time passed. Biding their time, the rest of the world watched as they killed themselves off, until only a handful remained.

The Great Dragon Purge is what it was called, the twenty year hunt and extermination of the remaining Draconians, costing nearly 60% of the worlds population, all but one of the beasts was killed.
