For three generations, the citizens of Seaside, California, have been trapped within a dome of indestructible white marble. Now, with the fourth generation reaching maturity, a breakthrough has been made. Decades of experimentation and innovation and Seaside residents have finally found a way to escape their marble prison.

The outside has seen many changes over the decades since Seasides' separation from it. With no signs of civilization in sight, those who decide to leave the safety will have to carve their own way of living in the now deadly, inhospitable landscape of the new world.
