Four centuries after the war, mankind had resorted into living inside domed cities to survive the harsh and uninhabitable environment that the world had become.

Unable to leave the cities, the common population have turned to virtual reality to ease their urge to go outside.

Hector Dawning was a man outside of the common population, and still an outsider among his colleagues. He was a hunter, one who goes out the city to pave the way for harvesters, those who gather and restock the dwindling resources of the cities. Because of his extreme work conduct, he was forced to take a leave, and with nothing to do, he decided to try out this virtual reality trend.

Worldforge Genesis was the latest VR game, and also the virtual world that Hector Dawning would experience for the first time.
