The tale begins with how most ends: kingdoms unite to fight the Blighted Multitude, heroes lead the brave thousands, the final stand for survival was at hand. But the tale would not have a victorious end, unlike those sung by the bards.
As half of the lands had fallen to the march of the Blighted Multitude, so will the other—defeat was what Hiero, a Draecontyr, one who stole power from the dragons, foresaw. Hiero sets in motion a plan to destroy all, the continent, along with the Blighted Multitude, gambling there'd be a handful of survivors to continue onward. A bleak future, but the only option in his mind.
Three centuries later, Hiero awakens.
Being alive was the least of his surprises. Expecting a land ravaged by unquenchable flames, with a handful struggling to survive, he instead beheld a kingdom where peace and prosperity abound.
Follow Hiero as he pieces together lost history and prepares for its repeat. For if he is alive, so too is the ancient evil he tried to bring down with him.
After five years of hiatus, I'm now back to rewrite my first novel, (Old Version) A Dragon Gnawing Its Tail. This is a complete rewrite, taking mostly core concepts from the original story. There are next to no spoilers if you read the original version, as even the same scenes will be rewritten completely and used differently. Though perhaps you'd like to peruse it to see the differences. Discord.
