Recent college graduate, Jacob Perrywinkle, has a new job as a journalist. To begin his career with some pizzazz, he asks his editor to give him a big assignment. Obliging him, she sends him to the desert country of Tigre Kanabo to shadow a group of professional monster hunters known as Six Mad Dogz & A Kat.

At first this seems like a great idea, but when disaster befalls the group, Jacob suddenly finds himself stranded in the desert with the female monster hunter, Kat, as his only companion. Together, the two must escape capture from monstrous tigermen, survive harsh desert conditions, and somehow make their way back to the safety of civilization despite their lack of survival training or experience. Their chances of making it are slim, yet their wills to live are strong. Whether that's enough to survive their near hopeless situation or not is yet to be seen.
