Jeremy Miller is an infamous software designer, computer programmer, and hacker. He's been fired from his job, lost his girlfriend, and is being investigated for a hack job he didn't do.

Enter Murdock Inc and their game Chrysalis Online. The company has a problem: people are dying while in their game. They've been keeping it silent but the problem is spreading and their top engineers and programmers are stumped.

Jeremy knows the company is hiding something, but how can he refuse? He can't resist a mystery. And besides, Murdock Inc is promising him so much money that it won't matter what others think of him.

The real question is, can Jeremy himself survive the game?
