When a higher-dimensional entity decides to cast you in a leading role for a story, who can really say no?

After his untimely death, his soul yanked from the normal cycle of death and rebirth, and awakening to find himself in the body of a baby Charmander, a young Pokemon finds himself trying to read his lines for a non-existent script. Of course, the rewards for acting correctly are a continuation of the story. But punishment means rewinding time to re-do a scene, or a battle, or an entire day... or even everything you've accomplished so far.

Being paired with a non-verbal trainer is definitely the icing on the cake. But as time progresses, our little Pokemon begins to notice that there's something inexplicably wrong with his new trainer...

A Pokemon Parable is an attempt to utilize an Isekai/Reincarnator base with a character whose knowledge is severely out of date, paired with some elements of Regression controlled by an other-worldly entity instead of the main character. This is my first serious attempt at a long-term fiction, and thus will be a little rough at the edges. The A-Plot will heavily follow the X and Y games in Kalos, with minor updates from the anime (such as town sizes). The B-Plot will go completely off-the-rails Power Fantasy + Hero's Journey, but be exclusively confined to uncommon interludes.

This entire story will be in 3rd person, and I do my best to use actions and descriptions to convey inner thoughts and emotions.
