Ayventia, the daughter of a powerful duke, should have everything a young woman could dream of. But instead of enjoying lavish parties, she finds herself with a dark magic mark on her hand. It gradually eats away at her life, spelling out Ayventia's inevitable demise. To cure herself she sets out on a dangerous journey together with her overprotective brother and her best friend.

As they traverse the treacherous desert and evade sinister magical creatures, Ayventia is confronted not only by the harsh realities of their journey but also by the unexpected reappearance of her past love. Despite her inner turmoil and desire to sever ties, she has no choice but to accept his help.

In the meanwhile, the darkness that was slumbering since ancient times slowly begins to awaken. These forces threaten not only Ayventia's quest for a cure, but the natural balance of the whole continent.
