It's been nearly a decade since gates started opening around the world. First it had started in Korea, but quickly spread throughout the globe.

Matthew, an E-Rank hunter in the U.S, has been struggling constantly given his low rank only allowing him inside the weakest gates.

On the other hand his friend, Luke, an A-Rank hunter living in New York, is going better than he'd ever hoped. He was even so nice as to give Matthew an all-expense-paid trip to come see him.

But then a gate arises within the city that will change both of their careers, and friendship, forever.
