"Across the sea of stars you wish to sail — there is only pain, deceit and disaster."
Descendants: that was what the world referred them. Children of a civilisation consumed by the war that tore the universe apart, humans that stood at the apex of genetic engineering and galactic conquest. Mark, who was one of these descendants witnessed his home crumble to the war and all that he loved lost before his eyes. He trained in his technology, honing his skills for the one day.
The day those that took his home would return to claim more, more of what they never sowed in his life. He would be the strongest, and no one would be strong enough to wrestle his aspiration and dreams away from him — not in this rim, nor in the distant space. Instead, he would be the one who would conquer and destroy; he would be the villain they all feared.
In a world where the dreams and aspirations of vain men where snatched away from them, Mark would become the villain displacing all that stand before him. The fragment of himself that he'd grow to fear as well. If not in the present, but in the distant future: a future that would come to haunt him.
