Two fugitives with dangerous secrets meet by chance and set out to "clear" one of their names, thumbing their noses at corrupt nobles, and trying to stay one step ahead of a military officer willing to do anything to win a magic arms race and a crime boss determined to get revenge.

This isn't an isekai or litRPG, it's intended to be an adventure story in the same vein as Kings of the Wyld, or The Lies of Locke Lamora. It's a work in progress, things could change significantly before it's done.
