Drenar found a dragon hiding in his soul, and nothing has been the same ever since.

Life got complicated once he started shedding feathers and growing scales, two facts that have made high school life somehow even more difficult. His best friend transforming and performing her bizarre–and sometimes painful–experiments on him in the name of dragon science haven't helped matters, either.

As if that wasn't enough, an ancient mage rebellion group re-emerges from the shadows, and is recruiting all newly Awakened dragons for use in their war against the mage government. He and his friends vow to put a stop to that, and embark on a journey that will reveal startling truths about their world--and themselves.

Chemistry class now seems trivial compared to saving the world as a dragon…but then again, the words he's always needed to see to the task have been there for a long time.
