Every child in Aeora dreams of being a Spirit Knight. They've grown up hearing stories of the great heroes who keep order and peace across the continent, battling back monsters with their incredible power.

Corrin and Wyn are no different. Stuck in a small town in the middle of nowhere, the storybook life of a Spirit Knight is something they will only ever dream of, an impossibly distant fantasy they'll grow out of as they get older: until that dream comes to them.

After an encounter with a wandering spirit knight, they swear to embark on a journey across the continent to the city of heroes, where they can learn to become knights the likes of which the world has never seen. But they've got a whole continent between them and the starting line, and plenty of challenges along the way. The world outside their valley isn't anything like the stories.

But adventures aren't supposed to be easy, that's half of the fun.

I wanted to write a story about two best friends and rivals on a journey to become the strongest, following that journey from the very beginning, through years of their lives. I'm a big fan of anime and manga, taking inspiration from Hunter x Hunter, Black Clover, and others, while also being influenced by progression fantasy like Super Supportive and The Stormlight Archives (if you want to count it). If you like any of those things, or just magic stuff in general, maybe give it a read.

What to expect:

- Slow burn. This story takes place over a long period of time, and I want to focus on character interaction as much as cool magic battles and training. Plus, becoming the best isn't something that happens overnight: it takes years.

- In depth hard magic system with fast-paced, strategic battles.
