Ed had never really expected to get a system. He had also never expected for apparently magic to exist, for whatever that's worth. But it did. And now he's sort of stuck with it all. Perhaps if this had been an artfully presented birthday present Ed might have been a bit more receiving, but stuck with a bare-bones system, no instruction manual in sight and with a distinct lack of protections against his apparently magic infested high-school... maybe being a system protagonist really isn't all it's cut out to be after all.
