Deserter is about a world filled with tragedy and misery. Through this world that's on the brink of ruin, a boy wanders trying to remember his past and what made it. The world won't be kind to him or anybody else for that matter but all he can do is live in it, because it is human nature to want to feel rather than remain emotionless.

Born from the plague, as all beings are and yet he revels in it.
