An Arthurian legend + Fae lore + Cultivation mash-up. Updates Mon + Fri, with occasional bonus updates
I'm not having the best day, I tried to dip out of my arranged marriage and got hunted by my betrothed, who sought to cure my cold feet with many, many knives. A frustrating development because when the Harkley blood curse kills me I wanted to be on my own. Mainly so no one could get in the way of me coming back.
Death proves to be only the beginning of my problems, as I find myself entangled with a powerful Fae, a well-meaning Knight Errant and a fae-beast in the form of a white hare able to bite a man's head clean off. Worse it seems my revival has gifted me the ability to cultivate death glamour, which can be seen as a touch suspicious by some, and utter heresy by others.
With only the clothes on my back and my magical lute, which only occasionally turns into a sword, I have decided to focus on what I'm best at! I shall cultivate through collecting stories of great hunts, singing the tales of others, and participating in duels only as a spectator.
I will be a bardic culitvator! Even if I've yet to work out what that means.
What to expect
An MC who is not overpowered, just competent
A plot centred around cultivator things, plus Arthurian things. Whatever meshes well.
A system of cultivation consistent with most major cultivation stories just differently flavoured.
Fae shenanigans including names, speaking only the truth, and oaths
Character progression that stems from effort, reflection and just the occasional death.
A Europe-based cultivation world where Ki is Glamour and connected to the Fae realm.
Enough Arthurian Lore that you get a sense of who the major players are and some idea of what to expect when names get dropped.
What it won't be
No harem
No OP MC
Historically accurate to the time period
A story entirely accurate to Arthurian Lore or your preferred cultivation system.
