College student Max Donovan is at the end of his rope, living from class to class, trying to think of ways to explain why he was still a freshman at twenty three. Aside from his lack of motivation, of course. As he spirals deeper into the despair of being a potential college dropout, and having to break that news to his parents, he's swept up into an entirely new problem. Forcibly thrust into a world of monsters, magic, levels, and combat, Max will have to adapt to survive in his new home, the Echo. With uncertainty and grief starting his adventure, Max soon realizes that real power is within his grasp, and he finally has an outlet for his calculative ambition. Moving forward with otherworldly, eldritch magic and an unknown entity whispering in his ear, he realizes he was meant for this world, to seize and utilize the power before him.Though the question remains... for better, or for worse?
