Arcina is a young slave, descended from the near-extinct race of elves. She is a quiet and submissive child, as the moral of 'never defy your superiors' has been deeply ingrained within her psyche ever since she was born. During a journey to the Adamas Village to subjugate its residents, she is saved by a boy, not much older than herself, introducing himself as Zen. After this fateful encounter, she vows to repay her life debt. But it seems she bit off more than she could chew, as in a world of magic and legendary figures, Arcina must survive monsters, antagonistic figures, and conspiracies ready to devour the world.

It sounds tough, right? Well, she must do this with a mysterious and apathetic boy who, for some odd reason, seems to attract trouble wherever he goes! A constant of chaos, if you will.

It looks like it will take some time before Arcina gains the peaceful and happy life she so desires.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

This story will be a slow-paced dark fantasy about an optimistic girl trying to live a life worth living along with an enigmatic boy with mysterious origins and even more mysterious motivations. Character development and world-building will be a large focus, and the overall plot will kick off once our protagonists find it.

- Inspired by Japanese light novels, manga, and anime, so be ready for a lot of references. Also very dialogue-heavy with some action sprinkled in.

- Story is told from the wider perspective of a scene, so it will cut from one character's thoughts intertwined with the narrative to another

- Psychological: RR only allows 4 tags, so I will say that this story, due to its heavy focus on characterisation, will feature many psychological elements like motivations that are tied in with the drama of having two young protagonists in an unforgiving world.

- Romance: There will be romantic subplots scattered here and there throughout this story, and any sort of sexual content will be purely 'fade-to-black' sequences.
