Vanessa Laval was an Electrical Engineering student working towards her PhD proposal who suddenly awoke in a strange white void promising to reincarnate her in a new world which by the sounds of it will have magic. Armed with her knowledge from earth and a little help from the mysterious force that reincarnated her Vanessa will have to work her way through a society that has already built itself around magic and try to find a place for her knowledge and skills and see if they can be integrated with her knowledge of electricity, physics, and 10000 other random facts she's pretty sure she heard once in a youtube video.

Follow her journey to truly change this world and carve out her own place in it.

This story will be focused a lot on learning the technical aspects of the world and the ways in which magic can be used in a controlled manner. There will be more action as the story progresses but the focus will always remain on the interplay of magic and technology.
