!!!UPDATE! 03/12/24 -HIATUS IS ONLY TO EDIT- Have not abandoned nor on break. This series is my life, but unfortunately not my income. Did not expect to get any views. Long story. Am going back over the 5 chapters already posted here. Once done, will re-post them, including a new cover and title. After that, posting should return to a chapter once every 1-2 weeks. What is fantasy? Old, bearded men slinging spells? Knights in shining armor battling fire-breathing dragons? Or is it little girls imbued with magical powers, and spiky-haired teenagers with a penchant for melodrama? Join our heroes as they find out the hard way. For as they uncover the truth of fantastical dreams, another truth becomes known. That some fantasies begin with a nightmare.

Heroes, monsters, angels, demons, other worlds, elves, superpowers, the list of things in fantasy can go on forever. But are we so arrogant as to believe it exists only within our minds? Yes. Even when it smacks us in the face. Who would believe that the eccentric weirdo that claims to be from another world is telling the truth? That you are some destined hero, that the concepts in your video games and comics exist? That everything you have ever imagined is real?

As well as everything you have not imagined. The parts in fantasy that get glazed over. In reality, monsters are not fun. Fighting, suffering, and bleeding is not recorded by numbers on a screen. There is no guide, or episode break. Nor creative interpretation. No. Just reality. The cold hard reality that fantasy is just as harsh and cruel as anything in our mundane lives.

Mundane lives that our heroes will never again have. That they will come to no longer remember was even a possibility. For when fantasy come knocking, and you open that door, everything you knew will be destroyed. The Dragonheart and his friends, old and new, will never be the same. And all it took was one stranger, one crazy fool spouting his prophet nonsense... to shatter the stasis of their lives forever; opening a door for the echoes to enter our world.
