The Wandering Spire is a mysterious tower that appears suddenly every five and a half years and never in the same spot. It is rumored that the treasure at the top is the gift of immortality. Kings, queens, emperors, and even dragons seek to claim this prize to live forever and offer rich rewards to any brave adventurer strong enough to defeat the tower.

The height of the Wandering Spire surpasses the clouds, and each floor is filled with untold dangers, each greater than the level before. An entire industry has risen around this mysterious occurrence involving barbarian clans, adventurer guilds, mercenary armies, and the elite military forces of nations. Due to the randomness of its appearance, nations, and kingdoms have agreed to a tentative truce and consider the Spire, wherever it appears, to be neutral territory. Yet, spies, intrigue, and assassinations flourish as each power strives through deception to benefit from the tower's riches and rewards.
