This story is inspired by [Hobo King] and [Aces and Jokers] please read them! They're great and better written than this.

Everything sucks. School sucks. Home sucks. Even her face sucks. But Iona Ionescu is determined, determined to do something about all that suckery. Through a magical ritual discovered in an old antique shop she finds a powerful artifact, a deck of cards, but unlike normal cards these cards represent her and her actions and through the application of these cards she gains new and wondrous abilities.

The world also kind of sucks, Gods walk among humans and humans walk around like Gods. The beach has been taken over by superhuman people called Masters, who have worked so hard at their craft that they've gained magical abilities in it. Some Masters when they go to far go "Wonderland", which destroys the whole world around them and turns it into a paradise of their craft (think Willy Wonka's chocolate factory but for carpentry).

This is progression fiction but the progression is slow and the powers gained are slight improvements at best. The goal for our character isn't to gain strength and wild magical abilities but improving her life. If you're looking for a wild power fantasy where you destroy all your bullies and save the world, I mean you might get that here but like forty chapters in.

What to expect:

-Progression fiction based on a deck of cards, each card represents an action in the world like [Training] or [Dancing], the combinations of those cards result in different cards and when applied to Iona or to the world around her, they create different effects. Think like Doodle God but for reality.

-A main character who is shy, not totally right in the head, and immensely insecure (just like you fr).

-A world that is based on reality but shifted in specific ways. There are Gods, though they aren't numerous nor effective. There are magicians, though their power is much more based on creation rather than fireballs. There are Masters, which is a system of my own creation mainly based around the idea of skilled craftsmen getting magical powers related to their crafts. The "Wonderlands" created by Masters have destroyed and affected the world in numerous ways, for instance, most of the Amazon has turned gold.

-Iona is a bisexual women, who doesn't quite realize her sexuality, but the world around her definitely does. She is not used to attraction, love or anything like it. Call her asexual if you want, or whatever. There is definitely more lesbian undertones than heterosexual undertones, but there will be no main plot sex scenes.

New chapters come out every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I am a full-time college student so expect more chapters around breaks and less chapters around finals season, although neither should be too much of an impediment.
