Ke'an Strome, the youngest member of a lineage of magic-stealing thieves is sent on his rite of passage during the harsh winter months right before the Thesfon Winter Solstice. His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters the last surviving dragon. This ancient and wise draconic being becomes his unexpected mentor, teaching him how to harness her incredible power.

As Ke'an delves deeper into the world of magic, he realizes that great power comes at a steep cost. He grapples with the challenges of godhood, discovering that it is not all it is cracked up to be.
