Unfortunately, this is just something that I was interested in but I don't like being forced to wright in already-set rules and lore and all of that. I will probably start a new story but this will be on an undetermined hiatus. When the hiatus ends it will probably be a complete rewrite.
It feels like I'm just being lazy, five chapters in and I quit. Well, I apologize then.
Not a LitRPG and is heavily based on DnD (Dungeons and Dragons), I expect you to at least understand the basics of it, however, if you are just here for the ride, go ahead.
Prepare for nothing in the description to stay to same for over a month, however, I don't plan on changing any chapters again.
We love to imagine ourselves as in control. Having power and understanding. But what if we strip all of that away? What if instead of the player you were the one under the control of said player? What if you had your own mind yet you were trapped to do the whim of some other being you had no comprehension of? Imagine if instead of the one playing DnD, you were the character controlled. However, even that might not be enough to put you into perspective. What if, you witnessed it instead?
This is a story about a man who can't just seem to get enough of his "teammates" and all of the shenanigans happening around him.
Unfortunate for him really.
"I fireball the door!" shouts the man across the table.
"Roll," the dm says eager to see if this will be the time to get him.
The dice thunk across the table and at the very top.
A one, the number of doom.
A fireball is summoned by the wizard to the disbelief of all the bystanders. The people start to panic and run away to alert the town guard. However, in a stroke of good luck the fireball not only hits the door but the man who cast it, his body lay charred and entirely unrecognizable. Well, it seems the guards will not be required.
What a wonderful life these people must be living with this not being the first time they've seen this exact sequence of events occurring.
These self-centered idiots are called by many names, perhaps "the morons beyond the fools", "the murder scourge", or even "the brainless that the flayers avoid", and so many more that it warrants a dictionary itself.
This is just a test, to see if it might be enjoyed. I hope that this can continue for a long time.
Uploads will be sporadic (Just inconsistent, sometimes short intervals maybe longer intervals), and don't expect a consistent upload schedule for at least a few years.
May the dice be with you.
