As far as things went, this was everything that Akhratan had hoped for... and regretted wishing for at the same time. The city was currently being raided from all sides by a legion of abominations, something which frankly shouldn't be that bad because, as Akhratan knew, they were quite weak. The 'big' issue was the large one, which was currently turning some of his fellow soldiers into paste, and which was his job to kill, or else he wouldn't be paid. The Gods were truly treating him with much contempt. However, dear reader, you must want to know how Akhratan found himself in this situation in the first place. Well, strap in your seats because this is going to be a literary ride.
