Something strange has happened to the continent of Loerma, perhaps even the entire world. Humans cannot die, and the gods have fallen silent. Demons have slipped their contracts, and the political powers of Loerma have been beset by instability. Old cults stir, new technology threatens to tip the balance of the great powers, and legal systems have been thrown into chaos. In response a divine aspect of the goddess Nanya, the aether Amber Nekt, seeks to assemble a group of heroes to aid the various peoples of the continent in their time of great need.
These heroes seek to make a paradise of the world, to fix what is broken and protect that which is not. The effort will take them centuries at least, and all the while the world itself teeters on the brink of destruction. They will, in all likelihood, fail utterly.
The Sundered Centuries is a story about humans struggling not just to survive but make the world a better place despite its slow grind towards oblivion and while beset by threats both human and inhuman, grand and petty. It focuses on the themes of divinity, progress, immortality, perseverance, compassion, understanding, and building utopia out of ruin.
