In the rural Midwest, travelling doctors know the perils one faces when isolated from much of world. Disease runs rampant, injuries are untreated and so much more. After a particularly tragic appointment, Dr. Markus Findley wishes for nothing more than for the suffering to end and to be given the power to help those in need. Almost as though his pleas had been heard by some cosmic entity, a realm of magic and sword collides with his own, resulting in the apocalypse. Armed with the dreaded powers of necromancy and the skills of a trained doctor, follow Markus as he travels the shattered states of America helping those in need. Elsewhere though, storm clouds gather as something wicked is carried on the wind, something that can end the whole world...
