When noble children come of age they are enrolled into Whaints Magical Academy, the place for nobles to hone their skills, further connections, and prove that they are worthy of the title of nobility.

The House of Autumnbow has never subscribed to this practice and instead chose a more practical approach: adventuring. Instead of a sheltered academy life, the nobles of the Autmmbow family must set out on a journey: to see the world, earn renown, and polish their skills. It is a tradition held up by generations of Autumnbow descendants.

To prepare for their journey, children of the Autumnbow family undergo training from a young age. They learned combat skills, and survival skills, and honed their magical abilities. By the time they are old enough to leave for the great beyond, they have honed their skills to a level where common threats are a nonissue.

The youngest daughter of the Autumnbow family has just turned sixteen and is now ready for her own journey to see the world. Each child ends up specializing in a style of combat determined by their strengths and aptitudes when young. In Elaine's case, she is adept at ranged combat, primarily using a bow as her main weapon, but the daggers attached to her waist aren't just for decoration either. Her studies of magic under her mother's tutelage and combat training under her father's had left her more skilled than the average adventurer, but her journey has only just begun and she still has plenty of room to grow.
