Alfonso "Alfie" Carter has always wanted to prove himself to all as a great chili cook. Denied access to the kitchen of his family's restaurant for his lack of adherence to classical recipes and rules, he felt weak and helpless to fulfill his dreams. Like a would-be student denied access to a martial arts school, he struggled to fulfill his goal. After a wrong turn, he finds himself in a traditional cultivation world. It is time for him to learn that wishes, like recipes, must adapt to the circumstances, environments, and ingredients one finds themselves in.

It's time for him to learn, grow, and teach the people of his new world the power of a cook by mastering chili con cultivation.

Chili Con Cultivation is a comedy cultivation story written for the January 2024 Royal Road Magazine contest.
