Peace and security were the things Sam valued most in his life.

Plucked from his world by nothing more than bad luck and labeled a sacrifice, he finds himself thrust into one where life and death are separated by a hair's length. Fortunately, he wasn't alone. Fellow humans, hailing from worlds of their own, were dropped into the same bleak situation. And, for better or for worse, it turns out his body and soul played well with fantastical energies.

Together they might just have a chance of surviving the trials forced upon them. If those same people proved detrimental to his life? Well, Sam had no problem abandoning strangers.
