Zion never wanted to be anything extraordinary. He doesn't want to be in history books or have songs sung about him. He just wanted to be a warrior. To fight with a sword in hand and have the power to raise it in his mother's name from the garage it was laid in. To avoid becoming just another mage to be forgotten when he failed.

So when he finally turned eighteen, and it was his turn for the Ceremony of the Weave, he only wanted that one thing.

Instead of fun adventures fighting monsters and collecting loot with trusted allies, he's been thrust into a war for the very survival of Nifell. With a Goddess's support, he will have to battle the force of Devastation and stop something way above his pay grade. Worst of all, he has to do it while being blue!

Zion's name will be sung in legends either as the one who led a band of misfits against the power of Deities or as the failure that led to the collapse of the world. Wasn't it fun being an adult?
