From the moment of their birth, Espers - a subspecies of human born at random with enhanced strength, durability, and even unique individual reality-warping abilities - are closely monitored and restricted by the U.S. government, if not outright "disposed of". The life of an Esper is a brutal one; one of fear and subjugation and of always looking over one's shoulder.

Fall is one of nine government-sanctioned Espers - a Predestitigator, tasked with the hunting and killing of his own people. But when one of his assigned targets reveals to him an entire life long forgotten, Fall finds himself lost in the wake of his own tortured memories, confused and unsure of who he really is.

It's a terrible question to ask oneself, really - why do I even exist?
