Ash finds himself reborn on Vicis; this would be great if he wasn't abandoned by his family, hunted for being related to them, and left in the lowest point in society. Forced to walk the path of Death to make a place in this new world, he is determined to claw his way out no matter the cost. Struggling in a world of disparity and discrimination, he learns the worst monsters are often found inside the city, not with the beasts outside. Ash marches on the path of Death, paying the price each step of the way.

En is born to privilege. Scion of a hero, daughter of a magnate, and facing a society built on the graves of those beneath them. Adamant to break the shackles of tradition and aristocracy, she blazes her own path to be the change she wants to see. En tries to make a path of peace to end the brutal bloodshed on Vicis that claims the lives of those she holds dear.

These two people, born worlds apart, slowly find their fates and actions more and more intertwined as they find their way in the world.
